Boston-based Fai Laci formed in early 2024, evolving from frontman Luke Faillaci’s solo project into a five-piece band. Rooted in indie rock with influences from punk and blues, the group has quickly gained traction through social media and standout live shows across the Northeast. By the end of the year, Fai Laci signed with Easy Eye Sound, the label founded by Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys.
The Tines are a New England based outfit helmed by songwriter and producer S.G. Carlson. The band formed as a recording project in late 2019, playing cleverly crafted indie rock that focuses on the balance of tension and beauty.
The Tines released their first E.P., The Enemy Is Listening (Free As Birds Records) in 2020, and began to perform live in 2021. They have since appeared at the New Haven Arts and Ideas Festival, The Thing In Spring, and Limb Snapping, and played with artists like Daniel Romano, The Huntress and Holder of Hands, Lee Ronaldo, Acid Dad, and The Futurebirds. As a solo artist, S.G. Carlson has appeared with the likes of Andy Shauf, Michael Nau, Erin Durant, and Shaun Rowe.
Showpony is the gritty, glam-fueled brainchild of New Haven natives Aaron Taos and Tyler Lindsay — a duo fusing theatrical rock, raw emotion, and a deep connection to their city’s character. Known individually for brighter, pop-driven projects, Taos and Lindsay created Showpony as a space to channel their love for alternative and psychedelic rock, drawing on influences like The Clash, Queens of the Stone Age, and The Last Shadow Puppets.
Their debut single Shine sets the tone — a sweeping, distorted anthem that explores the pressures of performance and the cost of living for the spotlight. With big riffs, lush acoustics, and haunting vocal harmonies, Showpony delivers sonic storytelling that’s as emotionally charged as it is cinematic. This is a band that’s not afraid to get vulnerable, lean into the drama, and turn personal truths into explosive rock moments. A thrilling new voice for New Haven — and far beyond.
